Joelle’s first ballet lesson was at four years old. By the age of eight she was also enjoying tap, modern, lyrical, acrobats and singing and had already taken first place in several major BTDA (British Theatre Dance Association) competitions and championships.
By twelve years old she had been the tap, song and dance and character champion of several Counties and is a former U. K Tap champion. Joelle gained her dance-teaching certificate when she was thirteen and has continued to teach since then.
In her early teens Joelle began street dancing and found yet another style where she could develop her creativity. Whilst at college studying Performing Arts; specialising in dance, Joelle began to develop her knowledge in contemporary dance, stage management and directing and was able to utilise her advanced skills in choreography for college productions.
Joelle continued to study dance at a dance college specialising in professional teacher training.
To date Joelle has been the writer, producer, director and head choreographer of five major productions.
Now a member of ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing), she prepares her students for exams, professional careers, competitions, festivals and stage performances.
Joelle’s ethos is for her students to gain confidence, achieve their personal best, have fun and be disciplined in a happy, team-spirited atmosphere.
