Our Focus.

When launching Turbelle’s Performing Arts, Joelle and Viv Jones were passionate that Turbelle’s was not just a dance school and theatre company but was the place in Redbridge that young people and their families of all ages and backgrounds felt welcomed, safe and part of a family.

It is important to us that all members have fun, grow in confidence and build on performance skills whilst learning in a constructive, friendly and safe environment.

Turbelle’s ensure that the standard of their tutors is high. Opportunities to perform and compete in events and performances are catered for. Although it is not compulsory students perform, the experience is greatly encouraged.

Our Core Values.

  • RESPECT – This is vital to us. Every tutor, student and parent are expected to be respectful of one another. This ensures that every member of Turbelle’s feels welcome, safe and cared for.
  • ENCOURAGEMENT – We support our students and encourage them to try their best in everything that they do.

  • PRAISE – With congratulating our students on their achievements (big and small) they become proud of their own progress and are more determined to grow.
  • ENERGY – Our tutors are very driven in delivering high quality classes. In turn we ask students to always be optimistic and enthusiastic in class.
  • CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK – Along with praising our students we also give advice to ensure that they develop in their dance and/or drama skills.
  • TARGETS – Every student is given goals to try to reach. This could be aiming for higher leaps in contemporary.

Turbelles is a lovely performing arts club that provides a fun, professional and family atmosphere to all who attend.

My daughters have been attending for many years and they both enjoy the street dance and drama classes, they work hard and always look forward to performing in all shows and having fun in rehearsals.

The teachers are also brilliant – I would highly recommend Turbelles to everyone!!

My son has been attending Turbelles Performing Arts for the past 4 weeks and he absolutely loves it. He can not stop showing me what he’s learnt especially the street dance moves. Everyone there are so friendly and Loving towards the pupil, you can tell they just love what they do; there is such a lovely warm atmosphere! Joelle is an excellent teacher, who is professional, caring, extremely committed to ensure the pupils reach their full potential and to ensure they are having an enjoyable time. I would very very highly recommend.
